The Needs Essential household items like Tarpaulins, hygiene hampers, soap, blankets, kitchen utensils/saucepans, cups, plates and jerrycans This is coupled by the need for these affected people to have first aid services, health sensitization with specific focus on cholera, dysentery and malaria control and distribution of mosquito nets as well as psychological support Whereas a number of humanitarian organEisa (AS)tions and the government have intervened in the Bududa mudslide and Butalejja floods' tragedies, more interventions are needed to provide relief to the increasing number of affected victims.

To our esteemed readers, brothers and sisters, there is great need to assist these people with any items that we can afford in order to make their lives better and enhance their quick recovery.

Please take any contributions to the Red Cross offices off Buganda road. in Eastern Uganda have been admitted at Bukalasi health centre as a result of poor hygiene.
The affected people include 20 children below the age of 10 years and 36 women, all with symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea. The hygiene in the tragedy areas and surrounding villages is very poor due to the limited latrine coverage. Plans to relocate survivors and community members in the unaffected areas are underway. They will be relocated to Bukalasi play ground in Bukalasi Sub County.

The Muslim community has since given assistance through Sheik Suliman Kakeeto of the Tabliq sector.

They gave out 20 bags of posho,5 bags of sugar,20 blankets as well as clothes. But there are other medium term needs like provision of reconstruction tools, recovery needs like including seed for beans, maize and agricultural tools to compensate for the anticipated loss of crops already covered by water.
